Doors To You: Dumbo Improvement District Commission 2006 

As a discarded commodity sculptor, I shape found materials into a new form, rescue objects after they have been abandoned and give them new meaning. I have often been drawn to the amount of doors I find adrift in the garbage of NYC. 

I built my sculpture with re-purposed doors and windows. Each will resemble a piece of architecture, and when viewed together will create a mini skyline. They will be installed with various colored lights that will emanate through cut out/glassed-in portions of the doors and upward out the top of the buildings.
