Art + Design + ArchitectureAtom Cianfarani is a self-taught, gender non-conforming queer feminist artist and designer. A Practice is rooted in reuse, sustainability, and resistance to disposability.
Cianfarani’s practice is multidisciplinary and their materials act as central protagonists, carrying both a history and ideological weight. After nearly two decades living and working in New York City, Cianfarani returned home to Canada’s Boreal Forest, where their practice continues to evolve. They are currently preparing a large-scale textile project marking the collapse of the first ecological tipping point, while building a passive solar house from recycled materials—one bucket at a time.
